Former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) visited the Basti Dawakhana in Khairatabad to review healthcare services being provided to local residents. During the visit, he interacted with medical staff and enquired about patient services, facility needs, and operational challenges.
Women doctors and staff informed KTR that they have not received their salaries for the past four months, expressing deep concern over the hardship they are facing. They alleged that the government is delaying payments, causing financial distress to those working on the frontlines of public health.
KTR assured the staff that he would take up the issue with concerned authorities, emphasizing that those who care for people should not suffer due to administrative negligence.
