BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao met Maganti Sunitha and her family at their residence on Saturday morning. He appreciated her campaign efforts during the Jubilee Hills by-election. He said elections bring victories and defeats for every party. He also assured total party support for her family and praised her children for their strength and discipline.
While speaking to the media outside, he expressed strong concern over alleged attacks on BRS leaders and workers soon after the results. He accused Congress supporters of targeting party members and damaging symbols. He said BRS never resorted to such behaviour when it won several by-elections, corporation polls and district council polls in the past. He stated that politics needs dignity and restraint.
KTR also pointed out that Congress leaders celebrated the result in an insulting manner. He said political victories should not lead to personal attacks or humiliation. He confirmed that BRS workers will stay united and continue to fight for the public. He also added that democracy demands respect for every party and its cadre.
Finally, he warned Congress that any further attacks on BRS workers will receive a strong counter. He said protecting workers in Jubilee Hills is his direct responsibility. He described his statement as a serious and clear message to the ruling party.
