The Lalu Prasad Yadav CBI case has created tension just before the Bihar elections. The CBI filed new charges in the IRCTC hotel scam. Nearly a dozen witnesses will testify against Lalu, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav. The trial begins on October 27.
Judge Vishal Gogane said Lalu Prasad Yadav was aware of the process and influenced tender changes. The CBI claims the family gave railway contracts in return for land in Patna. The land was later transferred to Yadav’s relatives for a low price.
All three have denied the charges. They called the case politically motivated. As Bihar votes near, the Lalu Prasad Yadav CBI case is again under public focus.
