The Lalu Rabri Mahua Bagh Bungalow has become the centre of a fresh political fight in Bihar. The Lalu Rabri Mahua Bagh Bungalow is being built on land in Patna’s Mahuabagh, and opposition leaders claim the property comes from illegal wealth. RJD leaders deny this and say the land was bought long ago.
RJD MLA Bhai Virendra said the family purchased the land many years back and is now building a house. He argued that no one has taken land from anyone and there is no wrongdoing. When asked about Tejashwi Yadav’s role, Virendra reacted sharply and criticised the question.
BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar released a video of the house under construction and accused Lalu Yadav of gathering wealth through unfair means. He warned that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) may seize the land again if it is linked to the “land-for-jobs” case.
ED had earlier seized several plots related to the Lalu family in July 2023. It is still unclear whether the current construction site was part of those properties.
Meanwhile, Rabri Devi has been asked to vacate her old government bungalow. The family refuses to move to the new bungalow allotted by the state, adding more tension to the ongoing dispute.
