The Land for Job Scam case saw another brief pause as a Delhi court granted Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family two more days’ relief. The court postponed the charge-framing decision after reviewing the status of all accused. The Land for Job Scam case has 103 accused, and the CBI has been asked to file an updated report.
The next hearing is scheduled for December 10. Earlier, on December 4, the Rouse Avenue Court had also delayed the decision. Special CBI Judge Vishal Gogane said the status of each accused must be verified before moving forward.
Between 2004 and 2009, when Lalu Yadav was Railway Minister, Group-D jobs were allegedly given in exchange for land transferred to his family or associates. The CBI claims these appointments violated rules. Four of the accused have died during the long legal process.
