Hundreds of candidates staged a Librarian Recruitment Before TRE-4 protest in Patna on Monday. They gathered outside the Bihar School Examination Board office to demand that the government announce librarian recruitment before TRE-4. The protest drew attention to years of delay and growing frustration among qualified candidates.
Protesters said the state has not conducted librarian recruitment for more than 17 years. Many candidates hold professional library science degrees but remain unemployed. They claimed the delay has affected both their careers and the education system.
The protesters raised slogans and held placards demanding immediate notification of vacancies. They urged the education department to release the application process and exam schedule without further delay.
According to the candidates, schools and colleges across Bihar urgently need trained librarians. They argued that libraries play a key role in improving learning outcomes and academic quality.
Leaders of the protest appealed directly to the state government and the education minister. They warned that demonstrations would intensify if authorities ignore their demands.
Police monitored the situation, and the protest remained peaceful throughout the day. Officials did not issue an immediate response.
The candidates said they will continue their movement until the government announces librarian recruitment before TRE-4.
