Ramesh submitted his nomination papers on Saturday. Earlier, Jana Sena announced his name for the Rajya Sabha elections. As a result, the party moved closer to securing its first seat in the Upper House of Parliament.
Ramesh has supported Jana Sena since 2015. Over the years, he remained active in party programs and campaigns. Therefore, party leaders considered him a strong choice for the position.
He is a well-known businessman from Vijayawada. In addition, he has interests in real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, healthcare, aviation, and education. Through these sectors, he has contributed to several development projects.
Meanwhile, Jana Sena leaders welcomed the nomination and called it a historic step. They believe it will strengthen the party’s voice at the national level.
Furthermore, the NDA alliance holds a strong majority in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. Because of this advantage, the alliance is expected to win all four Rajya Sabha seats from the state.
