Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh expressed deep sorrow over the death of Andhra University student Manikantha, who passed away after suffering a seizure despite being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Speaking in the Assembly, Lokesh acknowledged the tragedy and assured that if any lapses are identified in the incident, the government will take corrective measures without delay.

He, however, criticized certain groups for deliberately obstructing classes and creating unrest on the campus in the aftermath of the incident. Lokesh appealed to students to maintain discipline and allow academic activities to continue peacefully, warning that action would be taken if disruptive behavior persists.

He emphasized that while the government is committed to addressing any shortcomings in medical facilities or emergency response, law and order must be upheld to ensure a safe and stable environment for all students and staff at Andhra University.
