Famous folk singer Maithili Thakur joins BJP ahead of the 2025 Bihar elections. The induction took place in Patna, where she received the party membership from state president Dilip Jaiswal. Speaking to ANI, Maithili Thakur joins BJP with a humble note that she will follow whatever task the party assigns. She said, “Contesting elections is not my goal. I will do what the party directs.” Her words reflect loyalty and discipline, showing her commitment to serve under the BJP’s guidance rather than personal ambition.
Maithili Thakur, 25, comes from Madhubani district in Bihar and is known for her melodious voice and devotion to Indian folk music. She started her journey on Zee TV’s “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs” at age 11 and became a household name for her classical renditions. Her joining the BJP brings cultural charm to the party’s campaign ahead of the elections.
