Inter Miami stormed into the Eastern Conference semifinals for the first time with a 4–0 victory over Nashville SC. Captain Lionel Messi and forward Tadeo Allende both scored twice in Game 3 of the Round One MLS Cup Playoffs series.
Messi opened the scoring in the 10th minute after intercepting a pass and slotting the ball into the bottom-right corner. He doubled the lead in the 39th minute when Alba set up Silvetti, who provided Messi with a simple finish. It marked Messi’s 35th goal of the 2025 MLS season and Silvetti’s first assist for the club.
In the second half, Allende extended Miami’s advantage in the 73rd minute after a slick move involving Alba and Messi. Just three minutes later, Allende added his second with a delicate chip over the goalkeeper from Messi’s precise through ball. The assist was Messi’s 20th of the season and the 400th of his professional career.
Inter Miami maintained control until the final whistle to secure the historic win. The result marked a significant milestone as the club reached the Eastern Conference semifinals of the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time ever.
