Ministers Distribute NTR Bharosa Pensions Despite Rain in Andhra Pradesh

Ministers in Andhra Pradesh braved heavy rain to personally distribute NTR Bharosa pensions across South Coastal districts, demonstrating the government’s commitment to welfare delivery. The scheme provides pensions worth ₹34,000 crore to approximately 68 lakh beneficiaries across the State.
According to the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister, about 90% of the pensions are distributed in a single day, ensuring timely support to senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, and other eligible groups. The government has streamlined processes to minimize delays and ensure that beneficiaries receive their entitlements efficiently, even under adverse weather conditions.
Officials highlighted that such direct engagement by ministers not only accelerates pension distribution but also boosts transparency and accountability in welfare programs. Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the proactive approach, emphasizing that timely financial support greatly aids their daily lives. The initiative underscores the state’s focus on inclusive development and social security.
