Mohali Police FIR Against Goldy Brar follows the murder of Gurwinder Singh near the District Administrative Complex (DAC) in Mohali on January 29, 2026. Police said an unidentified attacker shot Singh around 3:00 PM while he opened the boot of his car outside ACC Housing Society. His wife witnessed the attack and immediately alerted authorities.
DIG Rupnagar Range Nanak Singh and SSP SAS Nagar Harmandeep Singh Hans said Singh had just attended a court hearing. He was present for FIR No. 281/24 under Section 18 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Kharar. Investigators learned that Singh had received repeated threats from Satinderpal Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, a foreign-based gangster. Singh had been accused in the murder of Gurlal Brar, Goldy Brar’s cousin, which explains the motive behind the attack.
Police acted quickly and registered a case under Sections 103(1) and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 25 of the Arms Act at Police Station Sohana. They have deployed multiple teams for technical checks, scientific analysis, and intelligence operations. These teams are working around the clock to locate and arrest the accused.
Authorities have also asked local residents and witnesses to provide any information that may help in tracking the attackers. DIG Nanak Singh emphasized that the police will not spare anyone involved in the crime. The investigation is moving swiftly, combining on-ground intelligence and technological support.
