Bihar Minister Jivesh Mishra has alleged a murder attempt during his visit to Ramputhi, Darbhanga, accusing opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav of instigating the attack. Mishra claimed that a youth tried to hurl a stone at his head, but the police intervened in time. He added that the attacker also smashed his car windshield and spread propaganda by circulating videos. Mishra announced plans to send a defamation notice to Yadav, blaming him for provoking such actions.
Tejashwi Yadav dismissed the allegations, countering that Mishra misbehaved with a YouTuber who questioned him about road works. Yadav alleged that the minister assaulted the youth and used abusive language.
Adding to the controversy, Mukesh Sahni of the Vikassheel Insaan Party condemned the alleged assault on the YouTuber, calling it an attack on democracy and demanding accountability.
The clash has triggered heated political exchanges between ruling and opposition parties in Bihar. With both sides trading accusations, the matter remains under police investigation.
