Naidu Asks Banks to Support Agriculture, MSMEs and Renewable Energy
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged banks to provide strong credit support to the agriculture sector and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He said farmers and small businesses are the backbone of the State’s economy and need timely loans to grow and create jobs.
Speaking at a meeting in Vijayawada, the Chief Minister also requested banks to give generous funding to the renewable energy sector. He pointed out that both the Central and State governments are giving top priority to investments in clean and green energy. He added that power distribution companies (DISCOMs) are offering counter-guarantees to reduce the risk for banks.
Mr. Naidu assured bankers that the State government will fully support investors and ensure a stable policy environment. He said increased lending will help boost economic growth, improve rural incomes, and promote sustainable development across Andhra Pradesh.
