The incident took place on March 26 in a village under the Noorsarai police station area. A married woman was reportedly dragged on the road by several men who tried to sexually assault her. According to the complaint, the accused tore her clothes and behaved inappropriately while attempting to rape her.

A video of the incident later spread on social media and caused public outrage across the country. After the video surfaced, police arrested two accused and started a search operation to catch the other people involved in the crime.

During the discussion in Lok Sabha, Pappu Yadav demanded a fast investigation and strict punishment. He said crimes against women must face strong action so that such incidents do not happen again.
