NDA Seat-Sharing Talks Begin

NDA seat-sharing talks in Bihar, Chirag Paswan meeting BJP leaders, Bihar election seat-sharing discussion

Talks on NDA seat-sharing in Bihar have officially started after the election announcement. Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi confirmed that these are still early discussions. BJP leaders met Chirag Paswan in Delhi to discuss seat offers, while Manjhi said final talks will take place on October 8–9, and decisions are expected by October 12.

Their statements suggest that some leaders who earlier spoke about finalizing seats are not directly part of the core negotiation process. Meanwhile, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, appointed as BJP’s election in-charge, has become more active.

Sources say BJP’s Vinod Tawde and Dharmendra Pradhan are meeting allies, including Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), to finalize seat sharing. Chirag is demanding 30 seats and Manjhi 15, but they may get fewer. BJP and JD(U) will contest not less than 100 seats each, with Nitish seeking one seat more than BJP.
