The NEET student death case under SIT probe moved forward on Tuesday as investigators questioned teachers and close friends of the student in Patna. The victim was a young NEET aspirant from Jehanabad who had been preparing for the medical entrance exam. Her death raised serious concerns and led to the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
In the NEET student death case under SIT probe, police also strengthened security for the student’s family. An assistant sub-inspector and four police personnel were deployed at the family home in Shakurabad to ensure their safety during the investigation.
The SIT visited the residence of one of the student’s teachers in Patna and recorded statements. Officers also spoke with classmates who were in regular contact with the student. During the inquiry, the team collected empty wrappers of sleeping pills that were reportedly provided by the hostel warden.
Later in the day, the SIT reached the student’s native village in Patiyawan, Jehanabad. The team searched for additional evidence but did not question local residents. Investigators are now examining the medicine wrappers and statements to understand the circumstances surrounding the death.
The case has drawn wide public attention. Police say they are checking every angle to uncover the truth.
