Nitish Cabinet Budget Share Bihar Shows JDU Ahead of BJP

Chart showing Nitish Cabinet Budget Share Bihar across JDU and BJP departments

Bihar’s new government shows an interesting balance of power. The BJP has the most ministers, but the JDU controls the biggest share of funds. This Nitish Cabinet Budget Share Bihar story highlights how the JDU secured key departments. In the first look, the BJP holds 14 ministries, including two deputy chief ministers. But the Nitish Cabinet Budget Share Bihar reveals that the JDU controls almost two-thirds of the total budget.

Education Minister Sunil Kumar manages the highest-budget department with more than ₹60,000 crore. Rural Development, Water Resources, SC-ST Welfare, and Finance also stay with JDU leaders. Their combined budget is massive and gives the party strong administrative power.

BJP ministers lead important departments like Health, Law, Home, Roads, and Urban Development. However, together they control only about one-fourth of the budget. The Road and Urban Development departments managed by Nitin Naveen together total around ₹18,788 crore. Other BJP ministers handle areas like Agriculture, Labour, Tourism, Industry, and Public Health Engineering.

Smaller allies like RLSP, HAM, and LJP(R) get limited departments with smaller budgets. Overall, while BJP has more seats in the cabinet, the JDU holds the real financial strength.
