Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Muslim vote bank accused opposition parties of using the community only for electoral benefits. While addressing a gathering, he said these parties had long treated Muslims as a vote bank, but never worked for their real welfare.
Nitish stated that with the Bihar Assembly elections nearing, some leaders were again pretending to be the well-wishers of Muslims. He called it a complete sham, saying that promises and emotional tactics were being used just to secure votes. However, no real effort had been made to provide the community its due share in development or representation.
In a post on X, Nitish targeted the RJD, saying that before 2005, no real work had been done for the Muslim community in Bihar. He claimed that earlier governments allowed frequent communal clashes and offered no meaningful support. Nitish highlighted that under his leadership, the Muslim community now enjoys full rights and fair representation without discrimination.
