A Pakistani intruder was arrested along the International Border in Jammu on Sunday night after Border Security Force (BSF) troops spotted suspicious movement. The incident took place near the Octroi outpost in R S Pura sector around 9:20 p.m.
The intruder, identified as Siraj Khan from Sargodha in Pakistan’s Punjab province, tried to cross the border fence. BSF personnel challenged him and fired a few rounds before detaining him. A small amount of Pakistani currency was also recovered during the arrest.
Officials confirmed that Khan was caught close to the fence and has been taken into custody for questioning. Security agencies are now investigating his motive behind attempting to sneak into Indian territory.
