In a major development in the paper leak scandal, Bihar’s Economic Offences Unit (EOU) has arrested Pravin Kumar Singh, also known as W Mukhiya, from Patna. He is believed to be a close aide of alleged mastermind Sanjeev Mukhiya.
Officials said Pravin played a key role in the paper leak scandal linked to the BPSC teacher recruitment exam (TRE-3). He allegedly helped candidates memorise answers before the exam in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh.
Investigators revealed that he arranged accommodation for candidates in a hotel and trained them using leaked question papers. He also transported around 30 aspirants for this purpose.
Pravin had been absconding since a police raid before the exam but was finally caught after a chase in Patna.
So far, authorities have filed charges against hundreds of accused, and further arrests are expected as the probe continues.
