Pashupati Paras has announced a Third Front in Bihar. His party, the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), will contest all 243 assembly seats. He said the RLJP will work with like-minded parties to offer voters a new option.
Suraj Bhan Singh, a senior leader, quit the RLJP. He accused the party of ending democracy. Later, he met Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav. Suraj Bhan is likely to join the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
His wife Veena Devi, a former MP, may contest from Mokama on an RJD ticket. This could lead to a major political battle with Anant Singh after 25 years. The move strengthens RJD and changes Bihar’s political map once again.
