Patna NEET student suicide shocked residents after a 16-year-old medical aspirant allegedly ended his life in a rented flat in the Salimpur area under Gandhi Maidan police station limits in Patna. The student had been preparing for the NEET exam and was reportedly upset after getting low marks in coaching tests.
According to police, the Patna NEET student suicide happened on Tuesday afternoon. The boy lived in the flat with two cousins while attending coaching classes in the city. Later in the evening, when the cousins returned from coaching, they found the room locked from inside.
When they checked through the ventilator, they saw the student hanging from the ceiling fan. Police reached the spot and recovered a suicide note from the room.
In the note, the boy apologised to his father and wrote that he studied hard every night but could not achieve the expected results. He also asked his father to take care of his sister’s marriage in the future.
