Patna research park received a major investment push of ₹486 crore during the India AI Impact Summit and Expo in New Delhi. The Patna research park proposal formed the biggest part of the agreements signed by the Bihar government on the second day of the event. Officials said the project will strengthen artificial intelligence research and create new job opportunities in the state.
The government plans to invest around ₹250 crore to build the research park in Patna. Another ₹60 crore will support an AI Centre of Excellence. Leaders believe these projects will attract technology companies and promote innovation.
Officials expect the initiative to create over 10,000 direct jobs. They also aim to provide AI training to more than 50,000 young people across Bihar.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said Bihar wants to emerge as a strong technology hub in eastern India. The state signed several agreements with companies to boost digital growth and investment.
