Pawan Kalyan Calls on Doctors to Serve Tribal Areas, Lauds RMC Alumni Support
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Health Pawan Kalyan on Friday urged doctors to dedicate at least one day every month to visit tribal and remote areas to provide basic medical services and create health awareness. He said such outreach would help bridge the healthcare gap in inaccessible regions and ensure timely treatment for vulnerable communities.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan was speaking after performing bhumi puja for the construction of new buildings and laboratory facilities at Rangaraya Medical College (RMC) in Kakinada. He appreciated the alumni of the institution for voluntarily contributing ₹11.10 crore towards strengthening infrastructure at their alma mater, calling it a model for other medical colleges to emulate.
The Deputy CM said the government was committed to upgrading medical education and healthcare facilities across the State. He stressed the need for doctors to combine professional excellence with social responsibility, particularly in serving tribal populations.
He also noted that improved infrastructure at RMC would enhance medical education, research, and patient care in the region.
