Pawan Kalyan Orders Stricter Crowd Management, Safety Measures at Temples
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for strict regulation and improved management of queue lines at temples across the State following the tragic stampede at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srikakulam. Speaking to officials in Vijayawada, he directed the administration to ensure that the best possible medical care is provided to the injured and that relief and rescue operations continue without delay. Kalyan emphasized that crowd control and safety protocols must be strengthened, especially during major religious events, to prevent such incidents in the future. He instructed district collectors and police officials to conduct safety audits at prominent temples and install adequate barricades, surveillance systems, and medical aid facilities. The Deputy CM also conveyed condolences to the families of the deceased and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting victims. His remarks underscore the urgent need for better planning in managing large congregations at religious sites.
