Congress MLA Anirudh Reddy sparked controversy after calling Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan a “package star” during a media interaction.
Anirudh Reddy strongly reacted to the discussion around cases and arrest reports involving Professor Nageswara Rao. He said Pawan Kalyan has no right to criticize the professor.
He challenged authorities to arrest Professor Nageswara Rao if they have evidence and warned that Congress leaders would stand in support of him. The Pawan Kalyan package star remark quickly became a major political topic in both Telugu states.
The MLA also alleged that Pawan Kalyan depends on political alliances for success. He mocked the Jana Sena leader and said Telangana people would strongly oppose any attempt to target leaders from the state.
Anirudh Reddy further warned that if such political pressure continues, protests could intensify in Hyderabad. The comments have now triggered fresh political debate between Congress and Jana Sena leaders across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
