PM Modi to Unveil ₹9,700-Crore Tribal Development Projects in Dediapada
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dediapada in Gujarat on November 15 to mark the birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda. As part of the celebrations, the Prime Minister will unveil development projects worth ₹9,700 crore aimed at enhancing infrastructure, welfare, and socio-economic growth in tribal regions of the state.
During his visit, Mr. Modi will also perform pooja and darshan at the Devmogra Temple in the afternoon, a significant spiritual site for local tribal communities. The initiatives being launched include improvements in road connectivity, education, healthcare, and livelihood programmes designed to uplift tribal populations and boost regional development.
The visit underscores the Centre’s continued focus on tribal welfare and inclusive growth. It also aligns with the government’s observance of Janajatiya Gaurav Divas, celebrated annually to honour the contributions and legacy of tribal freedom fighters like Birsa Munda.
