Police raids were carried out on the houses of RJD MLA Reetlal Yadav from Danapur, Bihar. The action came during the Bihar Assembly elections after allegations of intimidation and luring voters with money. Reetlal Yadav, who is lodged in Bhagalpur jail, faced raids at his Kothwan village residence and at the homes of his relatives.
The police acted on reports that Reetlal Yadav’s supporters were threatening and bribing locals to secure votes for the RJD. Houses of his relatives, including Shravan, Chiku, and Mantu, were searched, but all accused were missing. The raids were part of an election-related inquiry by Khagaul police.
Reetlal’s wife, Rinku Devi, criticized the government, accusing it of harassment and political vendetta. She claimed authorities wanted to weaken her husband’s campaign and demoralize his supporters. Despite the controversy, RJD has retained Reetlal Yadav as its candidate for Danapur, showing strong political backing within the party.
