Police reels in uniform have triggered strict action in Bihar. Police officials found several officers posting reels while wearing their uniforms. Authorities say such acts break discipline and harm the image of the force.
The issue of police reels in uniform came to light after videos circulated widely on social media. Senior officers reviewed the clips and identified the personnel involved.
Bihar Police headquarters prepared a list of 48 personnel linked to these reels. Many of them recorded videos inside police stations or while carrying service weapons. District superintendents have started disciplinary action against them.
A female station house officer from Purnea, Shabana Azmi, faced suspension after she posted reels in uniform. Officials said police staff must follow strict rules while using social media.
Most of the personnel on the list belong to Patna. Others come from districts like Darbhanga, Madhubani, Nalanda, Gaya, Sitamarhi, Saharsa, Jamui, and Munger. Police leaders warned officers not to misuse their uniforms for online content.
