Prashant Kishor returned to his ancestral village Konar in Bihar’s Sasaram after many years, drawing an overwhelming crowd. He arrived as part of Jan Suraj’s election campaign in the Kargahar assembly constituency, where a vibrant roadshow was held on Wednesday.

Kishor urged voters to support Jan Suraj’s candidate, Bhojpuri star Ritesh Pandey. The atmosphere in Kargahar turned festive as people lined the Sasaram-Chausa road to welcome him. Konar village, located about eight kilometers from Sasaram, witnessed emotional scenes as locals gathered to see their hometown leader.

Villagers had long awaited Kishor’s return since he entered active politics in Bihar. His ancestral home, built by his grandfather and father, now stands quietly by the roadside. The house is maintained by a relative, Kedar Pandey. Kishor’s father, Dr. Shrikant Pandey, was once a respected physician in the area before the family moved to Buxar.

Jan Suraj, led by Kishor, is contesting all 243 assembly seats in Bihar. During his campaign, he has been targeting both the Grand Alliance and the NDA.
