Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has stepped up his attack on the NDA government in Bihar, calling it the “most corrupt government in Bihar’s living memory.” He said that while Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is personally honest, he has lost control both physically and mentally, allowing unchecked corruption to flourish.
Kishor compared Nitish Kumar’s situation to that of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was known for his honesty but still saw UPA-II lose power due to corruption scandals. He argued that Nitish’s image cannot hide the large-scale loot happening in Bihar.
According to Kishor, the NDA has grown complacent. He alleged that the state BJP President had illegally occupied a Sikh minority college, while Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary faced a murder case and had fake educational records. He also accused JD(U) minister Ashok Choudhary of amassing ₹200 crore in benami property, using his PA and daughter’s name for cover.
In response, Ashok Choudhary sent Kishor a defamation notice, demanding an apology or ₹100 crore in damages. He dismissed the charges as baseless and politically motivated. A separate defamation case is already pending, with Kishor summoned by a Patna court on October 17.
