Serious allegations have surfaced in Telangana’s registration department over Presidential Order Violations and irregular deputations in high-revenue sub-registrar offices. Officials reportedly targeted offices in profitable areas to gain financial benefits.
The issue gained attention after complaints of corruption, illegal land registrations, and rule violations increased in several registration offices. Sources said some officers from other regions received deputation postings in Hyderabad surroundings, despite restrictions under the Presidential Order. The Presidential Order Violations also raised concerns among employee unions and officials.
Several deputy registrar and district registrar posts remain vacant across the state. Many offices currently operate under in-charge officials or senior assistants. Critics say this weak supervision encourages irregular practices and illegal registrations.
Officials and employee groups now demand immediate appointments to vacant posts and strict action against corruption in the stamps and registrations department.
