Farmers of Bharti Kisan Union (Ekta Dakaunda) protested outside the Mansa SSP office on Saturday. The protest was led by Manjeet Singh Dhaneer.
They demanded justice for Pipliyan farmer Harbans Singh, who lost Rs 42 lakh in a fraud. He was promised help in going abroad, but cheated instead.
The farmers said police registered a case at Budhlada police station five months ago. Yet, no arrest has been made. They alleged the accused enjoy protection from authorities.
Union leaders warned that if action is delayed, they will intensify their protest.
