The Punjab Martyrs Legacy Commitment Mann stood out on Sunday as Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann urged the youth to follow the ideals of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha. He said these values should guide young people toward a progressive Punjab. Mann spoke at Sarabha’s native village on the martyr’s anniversary and paid heartfelt tributes. He also recalled inspiring moments from Sarabha’s life. The Punjab Martyrs Legacy Commitment Mann aims to keep the spirit of martyrs alive in daily life.
Mann said his government remains committed to preserving the legacy of freedom fighters. He added that regular events and new memorials will strengthen this effort. Moreover, he stressed that Punjab can achieve the dreams of martyrs only by ensuring progress for every citizen.
During the event, the CM announced projects worth ₹45.84 crore for Sarabha village. These include purified drinking water, an indoor shooting range, a pilot training aviation academy, a wider road from Lalton Kalan to Pakhowal, and a forest nursery. He praised the unity of villagers and assured them that their demands would be addressed soon.
Mann also highlighted the rise of Punjab’s sportspersons. He credited the Khedan Watan Punjab Diya campaign for this change. Additionally, he invited people to attend the 350th martyrdom celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur in Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25.
