A shocking case has shaken Punjab. A Punjab teen beaten to death in sand mining case has exposed police and mining corruption.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Balkar Chand, posted at Ghubaya police post, along with Dalerdeen Singh and HC Amarjeet, allegedly attacked 18-year-old Akashdeep and his friends. They were fetching sand for a house when the officials stopped them and demanded bribe.

When the youth refused, the officers beat them and took them to the police post. Later, Sajan Kumar, a relative, tried recording the assault. This enraged Balkar Chand, who thrashed him brutally. The attack led to Akashdeep’s death.

Locals are angry and demand strict action against the guilty. The case highlights the deep-rooted corruption in Punjab’s sand mining business.
