The Leader of the Opposition highlighted several recent crime cases and accused the government of not doing enough to stop such incidents. She urged officials to take stronger steps and ensure quick justice for victims.
Members of her party also protested inside and outside the House. They claimed that crime against women has increased and people feel unsafe.
In response, Minister Sunil Kumar defended the government. He said police act quickly in such cases and authorities punish the accused as per the law. He assured the House that the government remains committed to public safety.
