A shocking Rahul Gandhi secretary fraud case has come to light after police arrested a man for impersonating the personal secretary of Rahul Gandhi and cheating political leaders. The accused allegedly promised party tickets and influential posts in exchange for huge amounts of money. Authorities say the scam targeted several leaders across multiple states.
According to police, the accused, identified as Gaurav Kumar from Amritsar, pretended to be Kanishk Singh, the personal secretary of Rahul Gandhi. Using this identity, he contacted party aspirants and convinced them that he could help them secure election tickets or key positions. The Rahul Gandhi secretary fraud reportedly involved payments running into crores of rupees.
The case surfaced after a complaint by Uttarakhand Congress leader Bhavana Pandey. She alleged that the fraudster took ₹25 lakh from her by promising a high-ranking role in the party. After receiving the money through an associate, the accused reportedly stopped responding to calls.
Police investigation revealed that the accused collected details about political leaders online and used fake caller IDs to gain trust. Officers believe more victims could come forward as the investigation continues.
