Santosh Suman has given important Rajya Sabha seat advice to his father, former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. He said that discussing Rajya Sabha seat demands publicly could create confusion and should instead be handled within party meetings.
Recently, Jitan Ram Manjhi spoke at a public event about requesting a Rajya Sabha seat for HAM and even suggested his son might resign if the party did not get the seat. Santosh Suman clarified that such matters should not be raised in public. He stressed that keeping discussions within the party strengthens unity and maintains discipline in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
During a media interaction in Jehanabad, Santosh said his father’s efforts to expand the party are commendable. However, he urged that sensitive political issues like Rajya Sabha seats should follow proper party channels. He also highlighted ongoing development work in Bihar, including metro and industry projects, showing that governance remains a priority.
Political analysts say this public difference highlights the challenges HAM faces in balancing party ambitions with alliance coordination.
