Ram Navami security in Bihar has been tightened across the state ahead of the festival. The police department has cancelled leaves for all personnel to ensure strong security arrangements during celebrations. Authorities want to prevent any law-and-order issues as large crowds gather for religious events.
Officials said Ram Navami security in Bihar includes the deployment of additional forces and close monitoring in sensitive districts. Around 45 companies of Bihar Special Armed Police and reserve forces have been stationed to handle any emergency.
Senior police officials reviewed security plans in a meeting with range IGs, DIGs, and district SPs. They instructed officers to keep strict watch on antisocial elements and take immediate action against anyone spreading rumours on social media.
Special arrangements have been made at major temples and along procession routes. Police will also deploy plain-clothes officers, CCTV surveillance, bomb squads, and dog squads for safety.
Authorities have identified districts like Gaya, Rohtas, Nalanda, Darbhanga, Naugachia, and Khagaria as sensitive areas and ordered extra vigilance there.
