RCP Singh return to JD(U): Shrawan Kumar says senior leaders will decide

RCP Singh return to JD(U) discussed by JD(U) leaders in Patna

Patna — RCP Singh return to JD(U) is still not clear, Bihar minister Shrawan Kumar said on Wednesday. He stated that senior leaders of the Janata Dal (United) will decide whether RCP Singh should rejoin the party.

Shrawan Kumar said he has no confirmed information about Singh’s return. He added that political discussions on television or social media do not decide party matters. According to him, only experienced party leaders can take such important decisions.

Speculation about RCP Singh return to JD(U) increased after some leaders hinted that the party doors were open for him. However, other senior leaders strongly opposed the idea and said the party should not accept leaders who earlier weakened it.

RCP Singh was once a powerful leader in JD(U) and a close aide of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He later left the party and joined other political platforms. Since then, his political future has remained uncertain.

Shrawan Kumar also questioned why a leader who once criticised Nitish Kumar now wants to return. He said party unity and discipline matter more than individual ambitions.

As Bihar politics heats up ahead of elections, the debate over Singh’s return shows internal differences. For now, the final decision on RCP Singh will rest with the senior leadership of JD(U).
