Red Fort Blast Probe: Agencies Trace Bomber’s Route and Hawala Transactions
Investigators probing the Red Fort blast are retracing the route taken by the suspected bomber, Umar ul Nabi, as part of efforts to reconstruct the attack. Preliminary findings indicate that Nabi spent ₹3 lakh on fertilizer purchases, prompting authorities to examine possible procurement networks. Police are also tracking the owners and drivers of vehicles parked near Nabi’s car at the site to determine any accomplices or logistical support. In addition, investigators are seeking information on Kashmiri students in Haryana and Meerut to check whether Nabi had any contact with them prior to the attack. Law enforcement agencies are combining digital forensics, hawala transaction tracking, and field inquiries to map the full extent of the planning and funding behind the blast. Officials emphasise that these steps are crucial for identifying co-conspirators, preventing future attacks, and dismantling networks that may have aided Nabi in executing the assault.
