Revanth Reddy Warns Against Electing Opposition-Backed Sarpanches
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has cautioned that the election of opposition-backed candidates as Sarpanches could hinder development initiatives at the grassroots level. Speaking in Hyderabad, he argued that such representatives might not cooperate fully with government schemes, potentially slowing down or obstructing progress in local development projects.
Revanth Reddy emphasised the importance of electing capable and committed leaders who are aligned with the state government’s vision for inclusive growth and efficient implementation of welfare programmes. He highlighted that strong coordination between Sarpanches and government departments is critical for timely execution of infrastructure works, education, health, and social welfare initiatives in villages.
The Chief Minister urged citizens to carefully evaluate candidates’ track records and commitment to public service before voting, underlining that development and people-centric governance should take precedence over political affiliations. He reiterated that electing capable local leaders is vital for accelerating Telangana’s overall growth trajectory.
