In Muzaffarpur, RJD leader son Pappu Sahani dies after shooting ASI in police encounter, shocking the local community. The incident took place during a police operation to arrest him.
According to police, Pappu Sahani opened fire at Assistant Sub-Inspector Vikas Kumar when officers tried to catch him near Bela Road. The bullet injured the ASI. Police then returned fire, and Pappu suffered gunshot wounds to his legs during the encounter.
Officers rushed him to SKMCH hospital for treatment. Doctors later declared him dead. Police said he was involved in several criminal cases, including ATM fraud.
His father, Umashankar Sahani, an RJD block president, claimed that police deliberately killed his son. He alleged that someone called Pappu to the location before the encounter and demanded a fair investigation.
