Saini attacks Congress AAP during a press briefing in Chandigarh after a high-powered purchase committee meeting. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accused Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party of spreading lies over the G-RAM-G scheme. He chaired the meeting at Haryana Niwas with senior ministers present.
Saini said Congress has mastered misinformation. He claimed opposition parties feel uneasy whenever the government improves welfare schemes. He added that Congress avoids debate and prefers walkouts instead of constructive suggestions. According to him, people now understand the opposition’s intent and conduct.
The chief minister said Congress and AAP are deliberately misleading citizens about the G-RAM-G scheme. He stated that the Prime Minister launched the programme to replace outdated MGNREGA practices. Saini claimed the earlier scheme suffered from misuse, corruption, and poor monitoring. He alleged that machines replaced workers and contractors siphoned funds.
Citing audit findings, Saini said corruption flourished during the UPA era. He claimed poverty has dropped below five percent due to strong policies. He also referred to complaints from Punjab, where workers allegedly failed to receive jobs or wages.
Saini described Congress and AAP as “bua-foofad,” accusing both of political opportunism. He said his government extended guaranteed workdays from 100 to 125.
