The Samrat Choudhary cabinet expansion discussion gained momentum after Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary met BJP leader Nitin Nabin in Patna. BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde also attended the meeting, which sparked strong speculation about a possible reshuffle in the state government.
The Samrat Choudhary cabinet expansion is expected after the government proves its majority in the Bihar Assembly. Reports suggest the floor test will take place on 24 April, and new ministers may take oath in early May.
At present, the government functions with the Chief Minister and two deputy chief ministers. The expansion will likely include leaders from the BJP and JD(U). Smaller allies such as LJP-R, HAM and RLM may see fewer changes in their ministerial representation.
Political circles are also discussing the possible return of some former ministers. Leaders like Vijay Kumar Sinha and other BJP figures may get another chance in the new cabinet lineup. Party leaders are expected to balance caste and regional representation while selecting ministers.
The final list of ministers will become clear only after the floor test and further discussions within the NDA alliance.
