Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary Tarapur Election 2025 is set to be a major political highlight. The BJP has announced Samrat as its candidate from the Tarapur Assembly seat in Munger district, his family’s traditional stronghold. He will file his nomination on October 16. Tarapur holds great sentimental value, as both his parents, Shakuni Choudhary and Parvati Devi, once represented it in the Assembly.
Samrat’s career began with the RJD, where he served twice as an MLA before joining the BJP. His political rival, Ramanand Prasad Singh of JDU, and his son Sanjeev Singh now support RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav. Recently, strategist Prashant Kishore revived the Samrat Choudhary Tarapur Election 2025 debate by referring to the 1995 Tarapur massacre case, stirring old tensions. Despite controversies, Samrat remains a key BJP figure in Bihar’s 2025 election battleground.
