Shivesh Kumar Ram BJP Rajya Sabha candidate has been chosen by the Bharatiya Janata Party for the Rajya Sabha elections from Bihar. The announcement came months after Shivesh Kumar Ram BJP Rajya Sabha candidate lost the Lok Sabha election from Sasaram in 2024.
Shivesh Kumar Ram is a senior BJP leader from Bihar’s Shahabad region. He earlier served as an MLA from the Agiaon Assembly seat. Over the years, he built a strong base among party workers and Dalit voters in the state.
In the recent Lok Sabha polls, he contested from Sasaram but lost by a narrow margin. Despite the defeat, the party continued to back him.
His father was also a prominent Dalit leader and served as a Union minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
The BJP’s move signals its focus on social balance and leadership representation in Bihar politics.
