The Siwan shooting incident in Bihar has created panic after gunmen opened fire on relatives of a BJP leader. In the Siwan shooting incident, a young man died while his father suffered serious injuries after the attack on Wednesday evening.
According to police, the victims are relatives of former BJP MLC Manoj Kumar Singh. His brother-in-law Chandan Singh and nephew Harsh Kumar Singh were travelling in a car to attend a tilak ceremony when another vehicle reportedly collided with them near the Andar Dhala overbridge in Siwan.
The minor collision quickly turned into a heated argument. Soon after, armed attackers opened fire at the vehicle. Harsh Kumar Singh suffered fatal injuries and doctors declared him dead at Siwan Sadar Hospital.
Chandan Singh also received bullet injuries and doctors referred him to Patna for advanced treatment. His condition remains critical.
Police recovered a bullet and a shell from the spot. Officers are checking CCTV footage and conducting raids to arrest the attackers
