The Bihar government has approved Ganga Ambika Path and Vishwamitra Path projects to improve road connectivity along the Ganga river. The decision came during a state cabinet meeting aimed at strengthening transport links across northern and southern Bihar.
Under the plan, Ganga Ambika Path and Vishwamitra Path will create new routes along the riverbank and connect key cities with Patna. These roads will reduce travel time and make movement easier for commuters and transport vehicles.
The Ganga Ambika Path will run about 56 km from Bidupur to Dighwara along the northern bank of the Ganga. It will connect with important projects such as the Hariharnath corridor, the proposed Sonepur airport, and major highways.
The Vishwamitra Path will cover around 90 km from Maner to Buxar through Ara. This route will extend the riverfront road network and link with the existing JP Ganga Path near Patna.
Officials say these projects will ease traffic congestion and strengthen transport links between several districts in Bihar.
